How to...

Although carefully reading the instructions enclosed in the packaging gives enough information for you to assembly your Gautier Office furniture successfully, you may appreciate a few tips on making the final adjustments for a perfect finish

Ensure that the furniture that you have just assembled is perfectly level

To ensure that the furniture is balanced and that the doors and drawers operate properly, you must level your furniture:

  • either by using manual wedges (whether or not supplied) if the furniture does not have adjustable feet;
  • or by adjusting the feet on the furniture.

Adjust the doors

Three types of door - hinged, folding and sliding - are available in the Gautier Office ranges.

Each type needs different treatment for the final adjustment:

  • hinged and sliding doors are fitted with simple or clip-on hinges which fit on the assembly plates provided inside the furniture. These fittings can be adjusted for height, depth and width;
  • sliding doors have guide fittings to enable the height of the doors to be adjusted.

Adjust the drawers

Some Gautier Office work stations and storage furniture are fitted with simple drawers called “flat†or “for suspended filesâ€.

These drawers are mounted on roller or ball slides. To adjust the height of these fittings, we strongly advise you to follow the method shown.

How to fix a shelf

Some Gautier Office ranges offer shelves to be fitted on walls, or supports that fit on the panels.

The assembly method is identical whatever vertical surface is being used to support the shelves (plaster, plasterboard, brick, wood, etc.).
